OLIVIA NEWTON-JOHN
Olivia Newton-John plays the role of Kira, the muse of dance, who comes to earth to inspire Sonny to help Danny design the look of his nightclub. Olivia is an extremely successful singer/songwriter who had numerous hits in the 70's and 80's. Some of her many hits include Let Me Be There, Have You Never Been Mellow, Sam, A Little More Love, and Physical. In 1978, she starred in the movie Grease, one of the most successful movie musicals of all time. The Grease soundtrack included such hits as Summer Nights, Hopelessly Devoted to You, and You're the One That I Want. In 1980, she starred in Xanadu and had hits with the songs Magic, Suddenly, and the title track. She met her future husband, dancer Matt Lattanzi, on the set of Xanadu, and they have a child together, Chloe Lattanzi. Olivia went through a series of personal tragedies in the 90's, including breast cancer, the passing of her father, and divorce. Never content to rest on her laurels, she continues to record and tour to this day.
