OLIVIA NEWTON-JOHN


Olivia Newton-John plays the role of the muse Kira, who comes to earth to inspire Sonny to help Danny design the look of his nightclub.  Olivia is an extremely successful singer who had numerous hits in the '70s and '80s.  Some of her many hits include "Let Me Be There," "Have You Never Been Mellow," "Sam," "A Little More Love," and "Physical."  In 1978, she starred in the movie Grease, one of the most successful movie musicals of all time.  The Grease soundtrack included such hits as "Summer Nights," "Hopelessly Devoted to You," and "You're the One That I Want."  In 1980, she had hits with the songs "Magic," "Suddenly," and the title track from Xanadu.  She met her future husband, dancer Matt Lattanzi, on the set of Xanadu, and they had a daughter named Chloe.  Olivia went through a series of personal tragedies in the '90s, including breast cancer, the passing of her father, and divorce.  She won her battle with breast cancer and is now an outspoken advocate for breast cancer awareness.  Olivia continues to record and tour to this day.
